The new construction and contemporary course may cause visitors to assume that the Keyhole Country Club is new. Locals know that the club was one of the cornerstones on which the town of Pine Haven was built. The original club house was built in 1972 and the cart shed in 1973. The first board of directors took office in May of 1974, 14 years before Pine Haven became an incorperated town.  The old club house was demolished September 29, 2015 and the new club house was completed in April, 2016.
